As discussed elsewhere in this site, our federal government has evolved from the limited powers enumerated to it in the Constitution to an overwhelming behemoth controlled by special interests and entrenched bureaucrats. It is naive to imaging that such a state of affairs can be reversed quickly, but such a reversal, whether gradual or catastrophically rapid, will be necessary if we are to retain our individual freedoms and property rights centuries into the future.
The endless debate in 2017 about healthcare following the Obamacare debacle demonstrated how far our representatives have strayed from a commitment to the principles of Federalism. It seems like every generation has to relearn the lessons of history.
“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”
Ronald Reagan, Inaugural Address, January 20, 1981

Please take the time to listen to President Reagan’s Inaugural Address and reflect on how it relates to our present time.
______________
The simple truth is that our Founding Fathers devised a system of government that will preserve our rights and property if we can collectively safeguard it. If a mindless majority demands cradle to the grave benefits from the Federal government in exchange for votes, the Republic is lost.
Here are some links to articles about Federalism and how it is the best solution to problems that are clearly NOT the responsibility of the Federal Government.
